Immigration is a Black (American) Issue

Terrance Kellom was killed in his father’s Detroit home in 2015 by Mitchell Quinn, an Immigration Customs and Enforcement officer. Quinn who used ten bullets to end Terrance’s life, was deputized by the U.S. Marshals as part of a fugitive capture team. At Terrance’s funeral, hundreds gathered to support his surviving family. Many other people were killed by police that year but Terrance’s death uniquely marked how Black Americans are in the direct line of fire of ever expanding federal immigration efforts. READ MORE
